This fantastic hotel is in a wonderful location. The room was large and clean but quite basic. The onsite restaurant was very good. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because getting seated at the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner took a very long time even though they were only at about half capacity or less.
We had a lovely 2 night stay in this iconic hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by the comfortable common spaces and by the size and cleanlines of our room. Of course the view from the front lawn is spectacular.
Got that cool old timey vibe! You just want to sip on your tea on a rainy day and enjoy the view looking over the town and the bay. Nice, rich breakfast buffet and good dinner options.
I was pleasantly surprised after my last visit during the pandemic. The rooms have been upgraded and we had a corner room which was spacious yet comfortable. If they could get more queen beds that would make it ideal. The grounds were lovely with beautiful landscaping. The staff were all friendly and pleasant. The Baie Comeau ferry was on strike during our stay and we didn't realize until we drove there. We were fortunate enough to go back to Hotel Tadoussac after driving all the way there. Perhaps on their daily board in the lobby they could post such important strike information as it really impacts tourists. Thanks for the stay!
Location, location, location. The hotel has an amazing view, with sun chairs facing the river. It's a great place to spend a morning just looking out at the St. Lawrence River. The hotel itself has a lot of history, and it's fun to learn about its story. However, they should consider adding air conditioning in the future, it can get quite hot during summer.
Wonderful hotel and staff were very friendly. The hotel dates back to the mid 19th century and is maintained very well. Tadoussac is a charming little town steeped in history.... and the whale watching was great!
A hotel with vintage charm and a courteous, attentive staff. The warm, homelike atmosphere is truly comforting. The rooms are somewhat dated, but then again, that’s not the reason one comes to Tadoussac.
Quaint hotel that is the jewel of Tadoussac, though I found our room a bit musty and had to leave a window open and keep the ceiling fan running. You can't beat the view of the St. Lawrence and everything in the town is within walking distance. We felt confident leaving our kayaks unlocked on our car--there is security in the parking lot. We'll definitely return.
